How to prepare your 3D model for printing with Made With Layers

Accepted File Formats

We accept the following 3D file types:

.STL

.OBJ

.3MF

.STEP (preferred) / .IGES / Fusion 360

File Checklist

Please ensure your file meets the following requirements:

  • Watertight geometry (no holes or gaps)

  • Correct scale (millimetres preferred)

  • No overlapping parts or loose shells

  • Correct orientation (or specify your preference)

  • Free of errors (use tools like 3D Builder or Meshmixer to check)

Design Tips

Minimum wall thickness: 0.8 mm recommended
