Welcome to Made With Layers! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and the services we offer through www.madewithlayers.com.au (the “Site”). By accessing or using our Site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Services

Made With Layers provides custom 3D printing services, including file processing, design validation, prototyping, and final production. All prints are made based on client-supplied files or agreed design specifications, subject to feasibility and material constraints.

Orders & Payment

  • All orders must be paid in full before production begins.

  • We accept payment via credit card, online payment & bank transfer.

  • Pricing is based on model complexity, print time, material usage, and any requested post-processing.

Production Quality

All parts produced by Made With Layers are manufactured using FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) 3D printing. While we take care to deliver consistent, high-quality results, customers acknowledge and accept the inherent characteristics of the process.

  • Minor surface imperfections, visible layer lines, and slight dimensional variation are normal characteristics of FDM 3D printing

  • Dimensional accuracy is typically within industry-standard tolerances but may vary depending on material, geometry, and orientation

  • Fibre-filled materials (glass or carbon fibre) may exhibit surface texture variation and cosmetic inconsistencies

  • Colour, finish, and surface appearance may vary slightly between production batches

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, prints are supplied as functional parts, not cosmetic or injection-mould-quality components.

Fit, Function & Responsibility

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure supplied files are suitable for their intended application

  • We are not responsible for part failure resulting from design limitations, incorrect material selection, or unforeseen use conditions

  • If a part is deemed unsuitable for production based on file quality or geometry, we reserve the right to recommend revisions prior to printing

Where concerns are identified before or during production, we may contact the customer to discuss options, revisions, or alternatives.

Quality Review & Reprints

  • Each order is reviewed prior to dispatch for obvious print defects

  • Reprints or refunds are only offered in cases of clear manufacturing defects attributable to the printing process

  • Variations consistent with normal FDM printing characteristics do not qualify as defects

File Submissions

  • You must have full rights or permission to use and print any files you submit.

  • By uploading files, you confirm that they do not infringe on any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.

  • We reserve the right to reject any print request that is unsafe, illegal, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate.

Production & Turnaround

  • Estimated lead times will be provided at the time of order confirmation.

  • While we aim to meet all deadlines, actual turnaround may vary based on file complexity, material availability, and order volume.

  • We are not liable for delays outside our control.

Shipping & Pickup

  • We offer shipping across Australia as well as local pickup by appointment.

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination and parcel size.

  • We are not responsible for damages or delays caused by third-party couriers.

Returns & Refunds

Due to the custom nature of 3D prints, all sales are final. However, we are committed to customer satisfaction.

  • If your print is defective or does not match the approved file/specifications, contact us within 7 days of delivery.

  • If the issue is determined to be on our end, we may offer a reprint or refund at our discretion.

  • No refunds will be issued for issues resulting from poor-quality files, incorrect scaling, or misuse.

Intellectual Property

All models and designs created by Made With Layers remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Client-submitted designs remain your property, and we do not claim ownership except as necessary to produce and deliver your order.

Liability

Made With Layers will not be liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services. Our maximum liability is limited to the total amount paid for the specific order in question.

Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services implies acceptance of the latest version.
